Our History

Early Beginnings

Charlotte C. Cestaro was the founder of Twin County Swimming Pool Maintenance & Supply, Co., Inc. She worked for a local gunite pool company in the early 1960s. In those days, the builders focused more on building pools rather than planning for maintenance after completion. Charlotte had researched the possibility for such a market and decided to provide the service.

After partnering up with a plumber, she started Twin County Service Co. in 1964, and in 1967 assumed the business on her own. Our company has been at the same location since.

New Ventures

We opened a retail store to the general public, backed by an in-house service shop. This venture sounded easier than it was for Charlotte, as being a woman business owner was unusual in this industry back then. Eventually, her husband joined the company and worked alongside her to handle day-to-day operations. Her son, Randy, became part of this growing business as well when he was 12 years old.
